Wool Frolic at Landis Valley
I left the kids at home, packed up my camera and went to the "Wool Frolic and Yarn Sale" at our local historical museum today.
There wasn't a lot of frolicking going on, but there was a lot of wool and yarn. I commented about the heat to a woman at a spinning wheel. She rolled her eyes.
"Here I am trying to sell wool shawls, and it's 90 degrees outside."
I bought a grocery bag full of yarn for a dollar, plus a bag of chicken feathers for another dollar. They'll be great for tomorrow's mono printing. I've already cleaned off the kitchen table. I just need to get the kids to church, and I'll have a few blissful hours of painting time.
