What I Bought at the Library Book Sale
My local library held its annual book sale today.
I've been going to it every year since I was a girl. I told myself I wouldn't buy much this year. I went not wanting anything in particular. But then I found myself amidst a sea of art books--a big book of Audobon art prints, a Taschen atlas of human anatomy and surgery, all for a few dollars apiece ... how could I say no?
As always, I bought a few books simply because they had beautiful covers. That marbled hardback made me gasp with delight. I'll likely deconstruct these and use them to make new art journals. Or perhaps I'll just keep them around to look pretty.
Here's a photo of them all lined up on a shelf. I find it fascinating to look at other people's bookshelves, don't you? Better than peeking inside a medicine cabinet and much more revealing.
What are you reading these days? What lovely things are making you gasp with delight? Do tell.
