Small Comforts

Small Comforts

I’ve been having a time of it lately. I forgot to refill my prescription for Zoloft last week so I missed a day’s dose. Only a day. But I’ve been dizzy and nauseous ever since.

It’s funny how startling small comforts can be when you’re going through something hard. The discomfort yanks the veil away and lets you see things how they truly are. A book with pretty illustrations. A mug of hot coffee. An azure sky thick with clouds.
