Shavasana and Stuffed Animals
I took the toddler to a family yoga class this afternoon.
He's an intense child, so I thought an hour of stretching and mindful breathing might do him good. He stood on the mat with his arms crossed for much of the time, occasionally grunting, "I'm not doing that." But toward the end of the class he started to engage. During shavasana he curled up next to me on the mat, giving me little kisses as he patted my head.
"If we're going to sleep here," he whispered, "then I need a stuffed animal."
