Grandma and I took the boys to the park early this morning. We let them dip their toes into the stream that runs behind the historical homestead. After the baby's nap we went to the Science Factory and spent all afternoon there, running from one exhibit to the next.
In the evening I bought a new iPhone. I've been putting it off for years now. I hate spending so much money on something I feel so ambivalent about, but my old phone was barely functional. I traded it in for a small discount and left feeling extravagant.
Driving home, I saw a man standing by the intersection. In one hand, he held a cardboard sign that said "Homeless and down on my luck. Please help." In the other hand, he held an iPhone.
