Meditation practice, here I come.
Bad news: today was super-stressful, with nonstop meetings and lots of multitasking.
Good news: My Muse meditation headband arrived in the mail today, and was waiting for me when I got home.
I saw the headband on a Facebook ad a few months back, and became intrigued. It’s basically a biofeedback machine built into a headband that connects to a smart phone app via Bluetooth. The smart phone app interprets the biofeedback data and plays sounds based in your mental state. Birds chirping for calm brain waves and heavy wind for active mental states. It’s all very new age-hippie-meets-Star-Trek.
I’d been planning to buy one as a birthday present for myself but the site was running a fall sale. Just in time. After the week I’ve had, a new reason to meditate can only help matters. I’m hoping it will help with anxiety, too. Only time will tell.
