Hi! I'm Kelly.

As a writer, I've always been interested in family stories. When I heard of a Satanic cult in my family tree, I thought I'd found the story of a lifetime. Read more.

Let there be superheroes.

Let there be superheroes.

I stopped at a kids' consignment store after work to buy some winter clothes for the boys. I found a rack of satin capes and felt masks. Homemade super hero costumes, $7 each. I bought two and brought them home. The four-year-old picked out Spider-Man for himself. He insisted on wearing it throughout dinner, mask and all.

We saved the second costume--Captain America--for the boy across the street. The neighbor put on his new costume and the two boys ran circles around the yard, their capes billowing out behind them.

After today's news of Vegas, it felt good to have three more superheroes in the world.
