La Dolce Vita
My mom and I did some last-minute holiday shopping today, before the start of the holiday weekend.
First we stopped by La Dolce Vita, also known as the Courthouse Bakery, for a sandwich and some Christmas cookies. I bought a little gingerbread house for the boys, since we didn't get the chance to make our own this season.
The desserts there are always so beautiful. Something about their lighting always throws my white balance off, so my pictures never do them justice.
Afterward we stopped at Lancaster Creative Reuse for some crayons, because the four-year-old wanted to melt them down and create his own. Their shelves overflowed with gift wrap and ribbon and bags. I bought a bunch to keep on hand for next year.
We peeled the paper off the crayons, broke them up and put the pieces into this silicone mold shaped like Lego pieces. They came out perfectly.
