How I Spent My Black Friday
I took my new wheelchair for a test-drive at Barnes and Noble today.
I couldn't see the tables of new books in the front of the store, but I was at the perfect height to browse the shelves. It was easier to maneuver than I thought it would be, and everyone went out of their way to hold doors and ask if I needed help. I could have stayed there all day, wheeling myself up and down the aisles.
I bought one book. It was not on sale. I browsed Black Friday deals on the websites of my favorite art stores but didn’t see anything worth leaving home for. I already have everything I need.
