We had a chili cook-off and a prop closet sale at the office today.
Proceeds went to charity. I spent all morning digging myself out of a pile of work, so it was nice to leave my desk for a few minutes and have a potluck lunch. I picked up a stack of things at the sale, too: some washable markers and a bin full of old wigs and funny glasses. The boys will have a blast playing dress-up.
The best purchase, though, was this RoseArt Sidewalk Chalk Paint Set. We spent all evening turning the driveway into a big abstract painting. I had a proud mama moment when my four-year-old drew this guy, who he called "The Sheriff." He even has a badge.
I rinsed out the empty paint containers and will probably reuse them for my own art projects. They're made of plastic and shaped like paint cans, cheap but sturdy.
We have three paint cans left. I predict more driveway art in our future.
