Hi! I'm Kelly.

As a writer, I've always been interested in family stories. When I heard of a Satanic cult in my family tree, I thought I'd found the story of a lifetime. Read more.

A Country Christmas

A Country Christmas

We went to the farm museum on Saturday.

It was supposed to be having a Country Christmas celebration, but the place seemed pretty bare. Maybe most people were inside the buildings. I couldn't get my wheelchair up any of the rickety ramps, so I don't know.

The chair did make it easier to take photos. I had a nice stable seat and an unusually low vantage point that led to some surprising compositions.

My wheelchair got stuck on the gravel on the far side of the museum, so we had to take the long way back. The four-year-old was bored. I wanted to push the wheelchair but my husband insisted and we all sniped at each other.

The photos turned out nice, though. Maybe in a few years I'll forget how irritable we all were and just remember the beauty of the December day.
